Hello crafters! Week 15's craft is something that has been a work in progress. My dear friend Carlee had an absolutely stunning wedding with bouquets upon bouquets of fresh flowers. I wanted to preserve some of that beauty for her. I took home a bouquet and pressed it. Now I'm not a professional presser, and I didn't have many heavy things around the house. So I gathered up what I could.
Here's one of her smaller bouquets.
Some of the flowers after they were pressed. I did a layer of news paper, then white paper, flowers, white paper, then newspaper. After a week I changed the paper. Then I left them alone for 3-4 more weeks. Everything pressed out perfect except the hydrangea. I turned black in the middle :(
I bought a white matted frame from Hobby Lobby and used small dots of glue to hold the flowers down. I adore the finished product! I'm sure Carlee has the perfect picture to put inside :)
Keep on Crafting,
Paige :)
